The screen design depends on the iPad model.
Older models
Often only the touch panel needs replacing
The LCD and the touch panel are separate. If only the glass is damaged and the LCD works, there is no need to replace the complete screen - only the touch panel is replaced.
Newer models
The complete screen is replaced
The screen is usually fused into one unit at the factory, so when it is damaged the complete screen is replaced.

When it is time for a new screen
Not sure what is damaged? No problem. If your iPad was dropped and the screen broke, we can check whether the damage is limited to the touch panel or also affects the LCD. We can give you an estimate based on the iPad model and inspect the device if needed.
Cracked glass
On older iPad models the touch glass and the LCD are separate, so often only the damaged part is replaced.
Does not respond to touch
Part of the screen does not register touch, or the iPad opens apps by itself.
Spots or lines on the screen
The LCD under the glass is damaged, usually after a drop or pressure on the screen.
Precise installation matters as much as part quality
Replacing an iPad screen involves more than swapping a component. The screen is bonded to the housing at the factory, so removing and reinstalling it requires care and precision.
This makes careful surface preparation, correct panel positioning and thorough final checks important.
Laminar flow cabinet: keeping dust out
On models where the touch panel is replaced, we pay special attention to lamination and protection from dust and dirt between the LCD and the new panel. That is why we replace iPad screens in a laminar flow cabinet, a special enclosure that filters dust out of the air. The air in the cabinet is cleaned through several filters, and the same equipment is used in laboratories and for servicing sensitive electronics.
Checking the device after the repair
After the replacement we check the screen, touch response and any other functions that may be affected by the repair.
We check that the screen works and that the repair has been completed to a high standard.

FAQ
Is the whole screen replaced or just the glass?
It depends on the model. On older iPad models the LCD and the touch panel are separate, so if the glass is cracked but the LCD works, often only the touch panel needs replacing. On newer models the screen is fused into one unit at the factory and is replaced as a whole. Before the repair we check the condition of the device and tell you what needs replacing.
How long does an iPad screen replacement take?
It depends on the model and the type of screen being fitted. For some models the repair can be finished the same day, and for more complex replacements, or when the part is not currently available, it takes longer. Call before you come so we can check the availability of the part and the approximate repair time.
What does the warranty cover?
We give a 6-month warranty on the installed parts and the repair, in line with the warranty terms for the specific type of part. The warranty does not cover physical damage after the repair, such as a knock, a drop or liquid damage.
Why do you work in a laminar flow cabinet?
The cabinet filters dust from the air to help prevent particles from getting between the glass and the screen. We use the same cabinet to install screen protectors.
Are diagnostics free?
Yes. The inspection and diagnostics are free. If we cannot repair the device or solve the problem, we do not charge for the service.
Will I lose my data?
No. Our repairs do not require erasing the device. Photos, apps, documents and settings stay where they were.
Do you need my passcode?
Not for a screen or battery replacement. For camera replacement or logic board repair, we usually need it to test all the device’s functions. You can still choose to test those functions yourself at our repair shop, although this may take longer.
Can I send the device instead of coming in?
Yes. With iPickUp we collect the device from your address and bring it back repaired. The service costs 1,500 RSD and is available in the Belgrade area. Call us to book it.
When are you open?
We are open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 16:00. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. You will find us at Kosovska 28, in Stari Grad.
