iPad Pro 10.5″ display

The iPad Pro 10.5″ has a 10.5″ Retina LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz (ProMotion) and a Home button with Touch ID.

The glass, touch layer and LCD form one assembly

On the iPad Pro 10.5″, the screen is laminated: the glass, touch layer and LCD are bonded together at the factory, with no air between the layers.

This is why the whole screen is replaced even when only the glass is cracked.

FAQ - iPad Pro 10.5″

How much does a screen replacement cost for the iPad Pro 10.5″?

From 23,500 RSD (Aftermarket Screen) to 30,300 RSD (Refurbished Genuine Screen (Glass Replaced)), depending on the part you choose. The price includes the part and installation.

How long does a screen replacement take on the iPad Pro 10.5″?

Usually 1-3 days. Call before coming in so we can check whether the part for the iPad Pro 10.5″ is in stock. This lets you drop off and collect the device without waiting for the part.

How can I check whether I have the iPad Pro 10.5″?

The number starting with the letter A is printed in small text on the back, and you can also see it in Settings (General › About) when you tap Model Number. For the iPad Pro 10.5″ it is A1701, A1709 or A1852. The iPad Pro 10.5″ was released in 2017, with the A10X Fusion chip.

Is only the glass or the whole screen replaced on the iPad Pro 10.5″?

The whole screen. On the iPad Pro 10.5″ the glass, touch layer and display are fused into one part at the factory, so they are replaced together. That is why the price covers the whole screen assembly, not just the glass.

Will Touch ID work after a screen replacement on the iPad Pro 10.5″?

Yes, if the Home button works. The button is paired with the logic board of your device, so during the replacement we move it from the old screen to the new one. A replacement button does not support Touch ID.

Does Apple Pencil work after a screen replacement on the iPad Pro 10.5″?

The iPad Pro 10.5″ supports Apple Pencil (1st generation). The Pencil works through the touch layer of the screen, so if you use it, tell us when you drop off the device - we will check that the part we fit supports the Pencil and test it after the replacement.

Can I use the iPad Pro 10.5″ with a cracked screen?

For a while, yes, but we don't recommend waiting long. Dust and moisture get in through the cracks, and sharp glass can cut your finger. On an LCD screen like the one on the iPad Pro 10.5″, bright patches or spots often appear after a knock, or part of the screen stops responding to touch.

How long is the warranty on the screen for the iPad Pro 10.5″?

6 months for every screen option. The warranty covers defects or failure of the installed screen. It does not cover damage caused after the repair by impacts, drops or liquid exposure. This applies to all screen layers: if the glass remains intact after an impact but spots or lines appear, that is also impact damage.
