Why the camera glass should be replaced straight away
The camera glass is not decoration. It protects the lens and the tiny moving parts for focus and image stabilization, which are very sensitive to dust.
Dust gets in through the crack
Dust and tiny glass fragments can reach the lens. Once they enter the camera itself, photos can become blurry or develop spots, and replacing the glass will no longer solve the problem.
Focus and stabilization suffer
The camera has moving parts for focusing and image stabilization. Dirt can block them, causing the camera to shake, buzz or fail to focus.
The crack spreads
Damaged glass easily cracks further or falls out, leaving the lens completely exposed. Replacing the whole camera costs many times more than replacing the glass.
Tip: tape over the camera right away
When the camera glass cracks, the biggest danger is not the crack itself but what gets in through it. Until you can bring the phone in:
- Tape over the camera with a piece of clear tape or protective film, covering all of the glass.
- Do not remove pieces of glass yourself and do not wipe the lens through the crack - fragments can scratch the lens or fall inside.
- Keep the phone away from dust, sand and moisture - the beach, construction sites and pockets full of crumbs pose particular risks.
- Bring the phone in as soon as possible. Replacing the glass is quick and inexpensive; replacing the whole camera costs more.

FAQ
Does the phone have to be opened?
Usually not. On most models, we remove the cracked glass from the outside, clean the area where it sits and install new glass. We only need to open the phone on some models or if the frame around the camera is also damaged.
How long does a camera glass replacement take?
The replacement takes 1-3 hours. We confirm the exact time once we have checked the phone.
Will the camera take photos as well as before?
Yes, provided the camera beneath the glass is not already damaged. That is why it is important to replace the glass as soon as it cracks. If dust has already entered, we check the camera during free diagnostics and tell you whether it also needs replacing.
What should I do before I can bring the phone in?
As soon as you notice the crack, stick a piece of clear tape or protective film over the camera, so that dust and fragments do not get in. Do not remove pieces of glass yourself and do not wipe the lens through the crack.
Are diagnostics free?
Yes. The inspection and diagnostics are free. If we cannot repair the device or solve the problem, we do not charge for the service.
Will I lose my data?
No. Our repairs do not require erasing the device. Photos, apps, documents and settings stay where they were.
Do you need my passcode?
Not for a screen or battery replacement. For camera replacement or logic board repair, we usually need it to test all the device’s functions. You can still choose to test those functions yourself at our repair shop, although this may take longer.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty lasts 6 months and covers a fault or failure of the fitted part. It does not cover physical damage after the repair, such as a knock, a drop or liquid damage.
Can I send the device instead of coming in?
Yes. With iPickUp we collect the device from your address and bring it back repaired. The service costs 1,500 RSD and is available in the Belgrade area. Call us to book it.
When are you open?
We are open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 16:00. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. You will find us at Kosovska 28, in Stari Grad.
