iPad (7th generation) display
The iPad (7th generation) has a 10.2″ Retina LCD display with a Home button with Touch ID.
The touch panel and LCD are separate parts
On the iPad (7th generation), the screen is not laminated: the glass with the touch layer (touch panel) and the LCD that produces the image are separate parts.
If only the glass is cracked and the image underneath is clear, with no spots or lines, only the touch panel is replaced and the LCD stays in place. Touch panel replacement for the iPad (7th generation) starts at 12,800 RSD.
If the LCD is also damaged (spots, lines or a black screen), it is replaced as well.

FAQ - iPad (7th generation)
How much does a screen and touch panel replacement cost for the iPad (7th generation)?
From 12,800 RSD (Aftermarket Screen) to 16,000 RSD (Genuine Apple LCD), depending on the part you choose. The price includes the part and installation.
Which screen should I choose for the iPad (7th generation)?
For the iPad (7th generation) we recommend the Genuine Apple Part option (12,800 RSD). It is preselected in the work order at the top of the page. Click another option to see its description and price, and if you are not sure, ask us when you come in.
How can I check whether I have the iPad (7th generation)?
The number starting with the letter A is printed in small text on the back, and you can also see it in Settings (General › About) when you tap Model Number. For the iPad (7th generation) it is A2197, A2200 or A2198. The iPad (7th generation) was released in 2019, with the A10 Fusion chip.
How long does a screen and touch panel replacement take on the iPad (7th generation)?
Usually 1-3 days. Call before coming in so we can check whether the part for the iPad (7th generation) is in stock. This lets you drop off and collect the device without waiting for the part.
Can I replace only the glass on the iPad (7th generation)?
Yes. On the iPad (7th generation), we can replace just the glass and touch layer (touch panel), leaving the display in place. This is an option when the image beneath the cracks is clear, with no spots or lines. On the iPad (7th generation), the glass with the touch layer and the display are separate parts, so the display does not need to be replaced. Touch panel replacement for the iPad (7th generation) starts at 12,800 RSD. We check which part is damaged free of charge before the repair.
Will Touch ID work after a screen replacement on the iPad (7th generation)?
Yes, if the Home button works. The button is paired with the logic board of your device, so during the replacement we move it from the old screen to the new one. A replacement button does not support Touch ID.
Does Apple Pencil work after a screen replacement on the iPad (7th generation)?
The iPad (7th generation) supports Apple Pencil (1st generation). The Pencil works through the touch layer of the screen, so if you use it, tell us when you drop off the device - we will check that the part we fit supports the Pencil and test it after the replacement.
Will a screen from the iPad (8th generation) or iPad (9th generation) fit the iPad (7th generation)?
Yes. The iPad (7th generation), iPad (8th generation) and iPad (9th generation) use the same screen.
Can I use the iPad (7th generation) with a cracked screen?
For a while, yes, but we don't recommend waiting long. Dust and moisture get in through the cracks, and sharp glass can cut your finger. On an LCD screen like the one on the iPad (7th generation), bright patches or spots often appear after a knock, or part of the screen stops responding to touch.
How long is the warranty on the screen for the iPad (7th generation)?
6 months for every screen option. The warranty covers defects or failure of the installed screen. It does not cover damage caused after the repair by impacts, drops or liquid exposure. This applies to all screen layers: if the glass remains intact after an impact but spots or lines appear, that is also impact damage.
