Which screen should I choose for the iPhone 17?

How can I check whether I have the iPhone 17?
In Settings, under General › About, tap Model Number - a number starting with the letter A will appear. For the iPhone 17 it is A3258, A3519, A3521 or A3520. The iPhone 17 was released in 2025, with the A19 chip.
How long does a screen replacement take on the iPhone 17?

Is only the glass or the whole screen replaced on the iPhone 17?

What will the iPhone 17 show in Settings after a screen replacement?
In iOS 15.2 and later, iPhone records repairs in Settings › General › About › Parts and Service History. On the iPhone 17, the InCell LCD - High Quality and Genuine Apple Screen - Status Unknown options show “Unknown Part”. The Soft OLED - Used and Genuine Apple Part - Removed from a New Device options show “Original Used”. The Genuine Apple Service Pack option shows “Original Genuine”. Despite the “Unknown Part” message, the phone works normally if the replacement screen is of good quality.
Does Face ID work after a screen replacement on the iPhone 17?
Yes. The Face ID camera and sensors are not part of the screen; they stay in the top part of the phone, so they are not replaced with the screen. If Face ID worked before the repair, it works after it too.
Can I use the iPhone 17 with a cracked screen?
For a while, yes, but we don't recommend waiting long. The iPhone 17 has an OLED screen, and impact damage can spread over time: lines or dark spots can appear and grow, and the screen may start registering touches on its own. Dust and moisture can also enter through the cracks.
How long is the warranty on the screen for the iPhone 17?
6 months for every screen option. The warranty covers defects or failure of the installed screen. It does not cover damage caused after the repair by impacts, drops or liquid exposure. This applies to all screen layers: if the glass remains intact after an impact but spots or lines appear, that is also impact damage.
