FAQ - iPhone 14

How much does a screen replacement cost for the iPhone 14?

From 9,300 RSD (InCell LCD - High Quality) to 22,700 RSD (Genuine Apple Part - Removed from a New Device), depending on the part you choose. The price includes the part and installation.

Which screen should I choose for the iPhone 14?

For the iPhone 14 we recommend the Soft OLED - Used option (15,500 RSD). It is preselected in the work order at the top of the page. Click another option to see its description and price, and if you are not sure, ask us when you come in.

How can I check whether I have the iPhone 14?

In Settings, under General › About, tap Model Number - a number starting with the letter A will appear. For the iPhone 14 it is A2649, A2881, A2884, A2883 or A2882. The iPhone 14 was released in 2022, with the A15 Bionic chip.

How long does a screen replacement take on the iPhone 14?

Usually 1-3 hours. Call before coming in so we can check whether the part for the iPhone 14 is in stock. This lets you drop off and collect the device without waiting for the part.

Is only the glass or the whole screen replaced on the iPhone 14?

The whole screen. On the iPhone 14 the glass, touch layer and display are fused into one part at the factory, so they are replaced together. That is why the price covers the whole screen assembly, not just the glass.

What will the iPhone 14 show in Settings after a screen replacement?

In iOS 15.2 and later, iPhone records repairs in Settings › General › About › Parts and Service History. On the iPhone 14, the InCell LCD - High Quality and Genuine Apple Screen - Status Unknown options show “Unknown Part”. The Soft OLED - Used and Genuine Apple Part - Removed from a New Device options show “Original Used”. Despite the “Unknown Part” message, the phone works normally if the replacement screen is of good quality.

Does Face ID work after a screen replacement on the iPhone 14?

Yes. The Face ID camera and sensors are not part of the screen; they stay in the top part of the phone, so they are not replaced with the screen. If Face ID worked before the repair, it works after it too.

Is the screen on the iPhone 14 the same as on the iPhone 14 Pro?

No. Both have a 6.1″ display, but the iPhone 14 Pro has ProMotion (120 Hz) and an Always-On display, while the iPhone 14 does not. The iPhone 14 Pro also has Dynamic Island, while the iPhone 14 has a notch, so the parts are not interchangeable.

Can I use the iPhone 14 with a cracked screen?

For a while, yes, but we don't recommend waiting long. The iPhone 14 has an OLED screen, and impact damage can spread over time: lines or dark spots can appear and grow, and the screen may start registering touches on its own. Dust and moisture can also enter through the cracks.

How long is the warranty on the screen for the iPhone 14?

6 months for every screen option. The warranty covers defects or failure of the installed screen. It does not cover damage caused after the repair by impacts, drops or liquid exposure. This applies to all screen layers: if the glass remains intact after an impact but spots or lines appear, that is also impact damage.
