No. The iPhone XS has a 2,658 mAh battery, while the iPhone XS Max has 3,174 mAh, the iPhone XR has 2,942 mAh and the iPhone X has 2,716 mAh, so these batteries are not interchangeable.
How is the battery attached in the iPhone XS?
In the iPhone XS, pull-tab adhesive strips hold the battery in place. These strips are pulled out from underneath it. If a strip breaks, we remove the battery carefully, without bending or puncturing it, because a damaged lithium battery can catch fire.
How long is the warranty on the battery for the iPhone XS?
6 months for every battery option. The warranty covers defects in the installed battery. It does not cover damage caused after the repair by impacts, drops or liquid exposure.
