FAQ - iPhone 7
How much does a battery replacement cost for the iPhone 7?
A battery replacement for the iPhone 7 costs 4,200 RSD (High-Quality Aftermarket Battery). The price includes the battery and installation.
How long does a battery replacement take on the iPhone 7?
Usually 1-3 hours. Call before coming in so we can check whether the battery for the iPhone 7 is in stock. This lets you drop off and collect the phone without waiting for the part.
How can I check whether I have the iPhone 7?
In Settings, under General › About, tap Model Number - a number starting with the letter A will appear. For the iPhone 7 it is A1660, A1778 or A1779. The iPhone 7 was released in 2016, with the A10 Fusion chip.
When should the battery on the iPhone 7 be replaced?
Apple states that the iPhone 7 battery retains 80% of its capacity after 500 full charge cycles. When Maximum Capacity in Settings (Battery › Battery Health) drops below 80%, the phone has shorter battery life and may slow down or shut down before it reaches zero. The iPhone 7 does not show the cycle count, only the percentage - we can read the cycle count during the inspection.
What will the iPhone 7 show after a battery replacement?
No message. The iPhone 7 does not track the battery in Parts and Service History, so no message appears for either a genuine Apple battery or an aftermarket battery.
Does the iPhone 7 have the same battery as the iPhone 7 Plus?
No. The iPhone 7 has a 1,960 mAh battery, while the iPhone 7 Plus has 2,900 mAh, so these batteries are not interchangeable.
How is the battery attached in the iPhone 7?
In the iPhone 7, pull-tab adhesive strips hold the battery in place. These strips are pulled out from underneath it. If a strip breaks, we remove the battery carefully, without bending or puncturing it, because a damaged lithium battery can catch fire.
How long is the warranty on the battery for the iPhone 7?
6 months for every battery option. The warranty covers defects in the installed battery. It does not cover damage caused after the repair by impacts, drops or liquid exposure.
